Later rods are NPC quests. Costs below are from a test-server walkthrough reviewed October 3, 2026, plus an October 6 Volcano note. Translated reward names were often missing, so the live dialog wins.
Reported rod quests
| Where | Turn-in | Where to look |
|---|---|---|
| Snow entrance vendor | 3,000,000 Coins | Keep this rod. The Volcano counter later asks you to fish with Legacy Rod |
| Volcano, near access | 100 catches on Legacy Rod and another 3,000,000 Coins | An October 6 video calls the Volcano giver the Blind Angler. The reward's English name was uncertain |
| Right side of Volcano | 20 bamboo fragments from Jungle and 3,600,000 Coins | Old Man. Farm the fragments on island 2 |
| Island 6 trees right of the entrance | 5 legendary fish from island 6 and 5,000,000 Coins | Climb the trees to the NPC |
| Island 6 coast | 5 island 6 legendaries, hooking V2, and 5,000,000 Coins | Down from the first NPC, then along the coast |
| Upper peak past the Soul NPC | 1 mythical fish from island 6 and 10,000,000 Coins | The narrator called the reward the strongest rod on that build. That is not a current ranking |
From zero, the narrated Legacy path is 6,000,000 Coins plus 100 Legacy catches. Bamboo is 3,600,000 Coins plus 20 Jungle fragments. Pick the route you can already supply. Neither cost proves which rod is stronger today.
Snow V2 book
The hooking V2 quest is separate from buying a rod. The narration says you must land the finishing hit with the required skill, keep an unused book (captions say Taj Hooking), and pay a fee. The path starts at the yellow house and large hook on Snow, winds upward, and jumps by a pine tree. Check the NPC label before you spend the book.
Races that share the same fish
White Tiger is behind the Desert pyramid. It wants Desert unlocked and 3 Desert legendary fish, each at least 1,000 kg. The clearly reported buff is +10% movement speed. Other skill-damage lines in that caption were too muddy to copy. Open Show Buff in game.
The Snow fish race is below the upper quest path. It wants 3 Snow legendary fish and 3 starter-island books. Caption spellings included Oneeh Hood Supreme, Taj Hooking Art, and Chapter the Azil Heaven. Match icons, not those spellings. Desert fish do not count. This race was not narrated as needing an unused book or a Coin fee.
Azure Dragon is NPC AN at the Volcano summit. The narration wants 100 finishes on the rod the NPC names and 3 island 5 legendaries. Reported buffs are +10% luck, +5% fish sale value, and a bonus to one skill whose caption name was unclear. If the counter stalls, you are probably on the wrong rod or the wrong skill landed the last hit.
Two Island 6 race writeups
A test-server Soul NPC sits on the cliff behind the bone ledge: climb trees from the earlier rod NPC and follow the cliff. Reported buffs there are +10% sword damage, +5% reach, and 5% cooldown reduction. The turn-in list was not spoken.
An October 4 guide instead names Supreme King, given by the Fishing Emperor on a similar tree-and-skull climb. That quest wants 5 Island 6 legendary finishes with a designated skill, plus an unequipped copy of that skill book. The book is consumed. Duplicate legendaries count, including Phantom Whale. Reported rewards are +10% skill damage, +5% critical chance, a conical hat, and a yellow aura.
The routes look alike and the buff text does not. Read the NPC name before you hand over a book. Do not assume Soul and Supreme King are one reward.
Only one quest may be active in the test-server rules. Check your log before you swap.
