Weather and giant fish

Weather lasts 10 minutes on a 30-minute cycle. Bring a finishing skill and use the Index instead of waiting at one dock.

Giant fish are combat encounters, not a longer wait on the same cast. The developer description points at fish weighing thousands of kilograms. It does not publish a minimum Attack stat.

Weather window

The official FAQ says weather spawns on the map every 30 minutes and despawns after 10 minutes. There is no published start clock. A snowstorm demonstration tied a boss to a variable island, not one dock. Unlock travel first, then search during the 10-minute window with a rod that can finish and a skill that is off cooldown.

The Index groups ordinary fish and giant bosses by region and is the in-game clue list. Community notes connect snowy weather with some world bosses. That is an observation, not a spawn table for every species.

How a giant fight fails

Prepare a rod you can equip, at least one damage skill, and prompt practice on ordinary fish.

  1. Cast at the special spot when the boss interface appears. A normal cast is not documented as the same fight.
  2. Answer direction and rhythm prompts while you click. Missed prompts are a documented way to lose the line.
  3. Spend a direct or multi-hit skill when it moves the bar, and save a finisher if the fight uses the white marker.
  4. If the fish heals or stuns you, return to prompts instead of retreating to the shop mid-fight.
  5. If you lose, write down the cause: prompts, heal, stun, not enough damage in the window, or the line snapping. Change one of those on the next try.

No public formula converts Strength into a required number for a named boss. Strength is part of the official progression sentence next to abilities. Spend it when the live menu shows a cost and an effect you can retest on a familiar fish.

Golden Catch is a separate counter for a Golden Fish, not the weather boss. One screen showed 44 catches remaining. That was the counter's current value, not a fixed rule.

Dragon Koi is named in boss discussions, but a full spawn and drop card was not in the pages read here. Use the Index entry on your island instead of a guessed timer.

The 2x Boss Drops pass was listed at 199 Robux. It does not summon the boss.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the fish stop taking damage near the end?

Bring the fish health bar to the white marker, then use a skill that is already attached to the rod you are holding. Clicking alone stops at that marker in the walkthroughs. If the skill is on cooldown, the finish waits.

How do you move a skill onto a new rod?

The developer FAQ says to unattach the skill book from the old rod before attaching it to the new one. A quest can also want that book sitting in your bag, and turning that quest in can consume it. Read the confirmation: one unequip path returns the book, while a delete warning means the book is destroyed.

When does weather appear?

The developer FAQ says weather appears on the map every 30 minutes and despawns after 10 minutes. It does not give a clock time for the first spawn. Boss location also changes by island, so search areas you have already unlocked.

How do you get the free group rod skin?

The experience description says joining the group grants an exclusive Fishing Rod Skin. Use the Fishing Master Community link on the official game page, group 67033518. Lotus Fan is a separate Mythical skin that also asks you to like and favorite the game.
